"Oceanfront property with cozy rooms, friendly staff, and an on-site restaurant. Less than 5 minutes from Hearst Castle. Really appreciate the small touches (a nice hand-written postcard; upscale toiletries). Our room overlooked the ocean, and we watched the sun set. They light bonfires at night. Would definitely return here. Listen to the waves, visit the castle, enjoy the food. Well-run hotel. Better than any chain."

"It’s obvious that this place has spent a lot of money in sprucing up the entire property. The pool area is brand new and I think the spa is brand new…the jets were strong and the water was hot! It is a motel so you can hear a bit of noise from other guests but that’s not the property’s fault. The breakfast….it’s pretty much carbohydrate based. But the coffee was good… Jack is great and the welcome cookies are amazing!! The ocean is directly across from the property and it’s a beautiful spot!!"

"We came in late from our travels, and the office staff was extremely helpful in getting us checked in. The room was well stocked, (coffee/tea), microwave and refrigerator. The room was very spacious and we loved the balcony. Great bathtub and tall toilet. The breakfast was spectacular, as well as, the grounds were impeccable groomed. Overall, loved our stay!!"
