"A very good location, in the middle of everything you might want to see in Hamburg. Hotel is well designed, well decorated, feels vibrant and cool. The availability of children playroom, a very nice restaurant, a rooftop bar and a huge shopping mall nearby makes it very convenient to stay here and just enjoy the trip. "We had an excellent stay at east Hotel Hamburg and would gladly stay here again. The hotel has a very distinctive design style with a lot of attention to detail, from the furniture and lighting to the overall atmosphere of the property. It feels modern, well maintained, and thoughtfully put together with creative flair. We didn’t dine in the restaurant, but we did have drinks there a couple of times and really enjoyed the space. The restaurant and bar area has a unique immersive light installation along one wall adding to the overall artistic atmosphere. We originally stayed in the older section of the hotel, but due to construction noise from a new spa being built, the staff kindly moved us to the newer wing. Both sides of the hotel were very well kept and comfortable. The older section had nicer garden views, while the newer side included an nespresso machine in the room, which was appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower had excellent water pressure and reliable hot water. The staff throughout our stay were professional, helpful, and accommodating. The location was also very convenient, close to the Reeperbahn and Metro in St. Pauli. My only criticism would be the shower design in the newer rooms. The shower area is quite open with a clear glass door, and a bit more privacy would improve the setup. Overall, this is a very good hotel with strong design, a great ambiance and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Hamburg."

"The price I paid for a room and breakfast was about £73 per night which I thought was excellent value for money. The bedroom was rather basic but it did include a king sized bed with two separate duvets. The bathroom facilities were rather cramped but did include a walk-in shower. The hotel itself was away from SBahn and UBahn stations but they were walkable. The number 3 bus however gave easy travel from the Hauptbahnhof, although the stop was not easy to locate, to the hotel. As the hotel was in a one way street the return stop into the city centre was in the next road but easily located. Breakfast was the usual self service. There was no restaurant for other meals but there were self-service facilities to purchase food and drinks. However the sandwiches did run out. So I would describe this more as a snack service. However there were many eating establishments in the city centre."
