It was also very convenient for walking to the train station for our early morning trip to Machu Picchu. The owner recommended a restaurant in the square which ended up being one of the best meals of our trip. Highly recommended!"

"We stayed in one of the Andean cottages for two nights, which was a perfect place to relax in between exploring the nearby villages, Moray ruins and Maras salt pans. "This was a lovely boutique hotel with a beautiful view of the river and the mountains. Very accommodating staff with a nice breakfast and good information about the town and tour options. The manager took me on a private tour of the Sacred Valley and also woke up extra early to make me breakfast before my Machu Picchu visit. There was no heat in the room but there were plenty of warm blankets to keep you comfortable. I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler and would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Ollantaytambo area. "
