Nice hotel in a very nice/quiet area
Great stay despite the horrendous weather. Hotel's 30min walk from the station in a nice/quiet area (10min bus ride). Spacious, clean room and very good breakfast. Bit pricy but this was GW. Good restos within a walking distance.

It was in a great location. The staff was excellent and so was the breakfast. Over all the hotel was a very nice stay.

Excellent but pricy
Excellent location and warm service. The room is small but confortable. Excellent restaurtant as well. The only drawback that I can think of is the price might be high for this area.

Nice place in a quiet area, but rooms are aged...
Nice Hotel overall, but rooms were a bit aged. The hotel is in a quiet area, not much action in the immediate surrounding and not so close to any shopping or restaurants. To get to our dinner restaurant we did have to drive there. Service is adequate. Breakfast was exceptional.

Unfriendly waitress at breakfast
We came for breakfast around 9.15am. There were not many hotel guest in the breakfast dining areas. The 2 ladies led us to our table, but did not set up the table. Neither did they provide any cutlery. We had to take these ourselves. They were not at all willing to provide their services

Hotel for short stay
The room was spacious compared to most hotels in Japan however the hotel is dated. The bed was too soft and the pillow was hard. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly and the room was hot and stuffy. Staff were very helpful and did their best to help us.

Functional
I stayed in this hotel not by choice, but out of necessity for a business trip. It is a perfectly functional hotel. The beds are not comfortable. The bathroom was renovated with a retrofit on top of the preexisting bathroom, which makes for an unusual finish and feel. The fixtures in the room are quite old, but in good condition. Air conditioning controls do not make sense as warm air and cold air comes out of the vent simultaneously - one from the left side and one from the right side.

It was a decent hotel to stay but it wasn't anything special. The river next to the hotel wasn't the most scenic thing I've seen in Kyushu or even Saga. The restaurant inside had decent quality food but again nothing really impressive for the price you pay. I actually found the staff very cold when you ask them them for help. The rooms were decent, they managed to squeeze a little bed into it since we had three people. The wifi in the room was fine but don't rely on the wifi in the lobby. I guess if I have to say something nice was the location of the hotel since it was pretty central in Saga. If you're not fussy about things and just need a decent place to stay, Otani does the job.

It was great. In spite of smoking room, the condition was wonderful. The view around the hotel was beautiful. The pond and trees make us feel relaxed.

You can't go wrong with staying at the New Otani !
It was indeed a splendid 2 nights stay! The room smells clean and fresh. Hotel staff were friendly and all already to assist; the front desk gentleman (sorry did not take his name) tried his best to help with locating our lost item at the onsen we visited. He was resourceful, looking for options when there was no answer when he called the onsen. He helped reported the case to the tourist support centre and the following morning when I approached the counter, took initiative to check if the lost item was found. Though we did not find our item, we are grateful to him for following up for us. With such a customer centred employee, we trust the hotel's service direction, will definitely consider New Omani when we visit Japan.

Great hotel located near cultural sites
We stayed for three days and found our experience to be top notch. The rooms were nice, not new, but the staff and customer service were top notch and made up for the difference. Definitely recommend this place. Did I mention, the staff and customer service were top notch...

一人でホテルへ宿泊するのは初めてでした。古いながらも設備はきれいで居心地が良く、3日間あっという間に過ぎてしまいました。 設備が旧式だからか、空調が調節できないのと、冷蔵庫がそこまで冷たくならないのが気になりましたが、かえってレトロ感があり良かったかもしれません。 朝食のシェフドレッシング・オニオンスープがとても美味しかったです。次行ったらまた食べたいです🍽️

空調が全館一括管理になっていて、客室からは温度設定ができなかったのが大きな不満です。 3月にもかかわらず、室員が常時23-24度で推移しており、暑すぎて寝苦しく不快でした。

家族5人で宿泊。 広くて落ち着ける部屋でした。 素泊まりプランでしたので、ホテルのレストランは利用していませんが、フロント周りは重厚で豪華です。スタッフも外国人の方が多かったが、日本語が大変上手で対応も素晴らしかった。よく教育されている印象です。 車で行きましたが、施設の中にも数台停められ、近隣にも駐車場がある為、駐車に困るようなことはありません。 観光の途中で立ち寄った感じなので、近隣を散策するような時間がなく景色をゆっくり見ることはできませんでした。ただ、宿泊中は静かでゆったりと過ごすことができました。
