I was originally meant to travel with a friend but ended up in seminyak alone. My original booking was a room with two beds, but since I was alone the hotel offered me a room with one king bed (this will be important later). My room was absolutely so dirty once I got in. There was spots all over the bathroom floors and shower walls. The counter in the room was covered in enough dust that it was clear it had not been wiped properly before I arrived. There was built up mildew around the drain and on other areas of the bathroom that made it clear this bathroom was not being properly cleaned over time. I called Expedia saying I wanted to check out early and asked them to see if I could get a refund for the remaining nights of my stay. They contacted the hotel and the hotel said it was unable to refund me because “I took a free upgrade” which was when they offered me the king room. So I then took photos of the issues in the bathroom and brought them to the front desk and asked for a refund for the remainder of my stay and said I was going to check out early. The hotel told me they could not refund me and instead they would only offer me an upgrade to a room with a jacuzzi. I declined as there is a zero percent chance I would ever consider soaking in a tub at this establishment given the poor hygiene in my first room. In the end I checked out early and received no refund from Expedia or the hotel. Moral of the story is don’t stay here and do not prepay accommodations.
