"The rooms are a little small but it was a quiet and pleasant hotel. Mostly clean with perhaps spots on the mirrors and a bit of dust around the sink counter. The staff at the lobby are a bit soft spoken which made it a bit difficult to understand but otherwise very courteous and polite. The breakfast buffet isn't very large but there's quite a bit to meet your needs. Everything was cooked consistently every time we ate there. It was certainly one of the highlights of our trip."

"The Hotel Grandvia Kyoto was a beautiful and convenient spot for our brief stay in Kyoto. The three person room was spacious with wonderful amenities. The breakfast buffet was expansive and tasty. The staff was ever gracious. Being basically in the train station was highly convenient and, if desired, one could do some serious shopping in the nearby mall."

"This hotel is luxxx, with a free ramen service and glorious bath it's the full package. Which is lucky, because it's on a main road and you need to work a bit harder than most Japanese neighbourhoods to find the good places (try Davada coffee). Visited at the end of Golden Week so it was busy as all get out, but the staff couldn't have been lovelier. A nice splurge 😊"

"Overall a great hotel and excellent location with local shops, restaurants and shopping nearby and the Kyoto station is only minutes away. Hotel offered complimentary coffee, toothbrushes, and other hygienic items which were very appreciated. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The hotel is very clean and the bathroom is very functional. We would stay here again when we visit Kyoto."
