It was a dreadful experience. The initial room we were given was dirty beyond belief - walls filthy, damp patches on ceiling and down wall. The second room had a swarm of ants, part of ceiling needed replacing, only one bedside table, bathroom that didn't smell clean, dirty towels. Breakfast was awful - lukewarm coffee, toaster full of crumbs, breakfast very poor offers and only allowed one item that came out cold. Pool was not clean and many tiles broken then they shut it to clean without prior warning. Pool chairs had not been cleaned and were sticky. The entrance to the hotel was a dirt track with pot holes, puddles and offered no privacy for the pool area. The so called tuk-tuk service was poor - often had to wait as there were none available. The manager 'tried' to be accommodating by changing the room, spraying the ants, bringing in a plasma screen and another bedside table, offering to microwave my coffee! and offering to help us book somewhere else - but no refund offered for the night we did not stay, or to pay for the next hotel for the night we did not stay! The managers way of trying to accommodate us is not an acceptable way of dealing with the situation. The hotel needs updating, staff need to be trained and customer service needs to be improved.
