Another nice day in June free of rain, so I decided to try my new Fujifilm FinePix S2980 out at Smethwick Galton Bridge (including the railway, bridges and canals). Going down the ramp to the canal level of the BCN New Main Line between Galton Tunnel and the Galton Bridge. I wanted a better view of the Galton Bridge, and the best way I thought was to go down to the towpath and get it from the canal level. Behind is the railway bridge carrying Smethwick Galton Bridge Station - High Level. Just the railway bridge carrying Smethwick Galton Bridge Station - High Level. Strange having such high bridges above a canal!

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Room/shower room and bed linen were very clean and bed was very comfortable. Room was very quiet, no sounds of banging doors. Very large TV screen with dozens of channels. Plenty of hot water for the shower. Some signs of wear & tear in the shower room, but not enough to detract from the overall experience. The evening meal was excellent. Generous portions and good vegan options. The dessert was sublime! I would definitely stay here again if the need arose."

"The room was spacious, and so is the bathroom. The toiletries were good quality. The breakfast is very good, and there is a good selection of breakfast items. The porridge is exceptional good. The staff are hospitable. I would definitely stay here again."
