"We loved our stay at the Hotel Zelos. The rooms were clean and neat and the bed was so comfortable. The front staff was very friendly. Our only issue was with the staff in the dirty habits restaurant. They were very inattentive and slow to serve. But overall the hotel is an excellent place to stay in the downtown area. We saw lots of interesting people on the streets but never felt unsafe."

"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. The room I stayed in was okay. The bathroom was small and the furniture was peeling. How you watch TV in the room was a little new which was appealing. "Great for the money. Very convenient to attractions and public transportation. Rooms, and shared bathroom/shower areas were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Area can be a bit seedy late at night, but stay aware of your surroundings, mind your own business and you’ll be fine. Hotel itself is secure. I’d definitely stay here again. "
