"The room was clean. Staff were excellent. I did not have breakfast at the property. I found it on the pricy side. Air conditioning was excellent."

"The room was noticeably dusty, which was particularly difficult for me as someone who suffers from asthma. It got really hot some nights but couldn’t put on the air con as just would blow the dust everywhere so luckily could open window. On a positive note, the shower was powerful and the bed itself was a good size. However, the bedding was uncomfortable the duvet didn’t properly stay inside the cover, which made it feel untidy and inconvenient throughout the night. The hotel has a very self-service approach, which I understand for efficiency but at times it felt as though staff preferred guests not to ask for assistance. That said, the complimentary breakfast and drinks were a nice touch, and the reception area was decorated nicely and on theme. Sadly aside from those positives, the experience didn’t quite meet expectations. "

"What a great hotel! Perfect location close to everything. The staff were very helpful too. Shoko made sure we were able to get our laundry done in time before leaving by helping find a second machine to use. Thank you for a wonderful stay in Sapporo."

"This hotel is perfectly equipped to be a lovely stay. My room was clean, amenities plentiful, including PJ. Location is interesting, right next to one of major Tokyo temples. Onsite onsen adds to comfort of the stay. The only downfall is the front desk staff. It’s lacking hospitality vibe. Case in point - my taxi driver pulled to the back entrance. I had my doubts, so we both rang the intercom. A lady came out and after checking my reservation confirmed it was the proper place. So I went to the taxi to pay the driver and collect my luggage. But instead of keeping the door open, she went back and shut it. I rang again. Someone else came out and tried to tell me the entrance is around the corner. He saw me, 70 yo woman with luggage, and still insisted I had to go around. He eventually reluctantly let me come in. The checkin process was formal, not hospitable. No introduction to these wonderful amenities. No welcoming gestures I have experienced in other hotels. I saw a sign about a welcome drink and asked. I was told to go around the corner to the restaurant and pour myself from a machine. In another incident, I booked an extra day after my flight got rescheduled. I talked to the front desk to confirm I could keep my room. Later that day I got an email asking about my expected arrival time - they had no clue I was already there."
