What we really liked was the location.
The hotel lobby and boutique like feel was great. However, the room had an old, very dirty carpet, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting, probably remembering the beginning of Australia...Joking here, but, yes it was awful. The staff was cold. We came early and had to wonder around for several hours, they said they were going to e-mail us when the room was ready, but sadly they never did. We asked them to call us, they declined claiming that the hotel does not do international calls (it's owned by Sofitel, so I'm sure they could train their staff how to use Skype, for instance). They did not even offer a bottle of water. We were dead tired after traveling long distance and being on a 16 hours different time zone. This is not a 5 star hotel, rather 1 star. We have travelled the world and stayed at various hotels, but this was by far the worst hotel we stayed at. But, like I've mentioned before, the location was fantastic, so what we did we rose very early in the morning, left the hotel, explored the beautiful city Sidney is and came back late at night.
The rooms and bathrooms are begging for remodeling.
