Once stepping in the lobby , we were greeted warmly by your front office staff , Omar who is courteous , helpful and efficient in providing us with the details about what we want to know about the uniqueness of the hotel . Relatively new hotel conveniently located in the heart of Jonker district where the night markets are. Stone's throw to quaint cafes and pubs, and local delights. Just a street behind the river, it was lovely to have morning walks across the bridge to where the red cobbled streets lead to the town's heritage sites. A very warmhearted team that is ready to offer genuine advice to local restaurants, and not "tourist traps".

The stay was fantastic Staff are friendly, I'm talking about the whole team, not any particular. It's just let us feel so great with their polite additue, fell so welcome throughout the stay. When questions asked , they will do their best to help . I will definitely come back again when I'm back to Malacca

We had a very pleasant stay from the beginning to end. Absolutely polite service from the staff and good attention to details, like turning the sheets over at night and small favours to make one smile. Rooms were huge and the place was clean and comfortable.

Hotel is converted from old Paranakan house, very beautiful. Surprisingly the room was quiet and soundproof, I expected it could be noisy but it wasn’t. Bathroom was very big and clean, room and bad were clean, only the carpet is due for change. Hotel provide free parking slot. counter staff was helpful and courteous. Will stay again if back to Malacca.

My family and I were here exactly same period in 2019. In 2025 I chose back the same place. The deco, cleanliness and warm friendly staff - really enhance the experience! Thank you for the hospitality! No doubt if I am back, Obama House will denitely be my go-to accommodation! To also add on, when I checked in the evening, it was pouring. The warm friendly staff stayed after their hours to guide us on the parking

Friendly receptionist. Food court for dinner just opposite. Very good zichar stall Lala Seng serve delicious clams and cheese beehoon. Nearby coffeeshops for breakfast to the right side of hotel. About 15 minutes walk to Jonker street and 5 minutes to Malacca river.

The room is clean and cosy. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is located in Jonker Street which is very easy to get around.

had some issues checking in as the property was located in the middle of a residential area with inadequate signs. it was very airbnb-esqe, genuinely thought that we were screwed when we could not find the property after driving a few rounds. when we did find the property via a faded sign, there was no number on the sign to call as this property was not manned at all. to be fair they did whatsapp a message beforehand but it appeared as a foreign number and we do not entertain unsolicited...

Mr Monir rendered very Excellent Service to me during my 2 Days stay ! You must ask for him , when you check in . The hostel is very comfortable & the bunk beds have a reading lamp & power socket for charging your devices . The mattress & pillow are very soft & comfortable . The location of the hostel is next to Jonker Street & is stone’s throw next to the Jonker Street Night Market on Fridays , Saturdays & Sundays !
