"Stunning resort! Lots of free activities for those interested-Pilates, aqua yoga, dance classes, bike riding, etc. In addition to the optional paid spa experience.
Food was super delish! Buffet has a different theme every night, also 2 other inclusive restaurants on site. Lots of seafood, fresh fruit & veggies, a variety of chicken, beef, fish & pork dishes. There was even goat! Something for every palate.
Bed was comfy, room was clean & spacious.
Most staff were personable, warm & friendly, especially concierge Jean who went above & beyond to assist with every detail of our stay. Trolley driver Tomas always had a smile & joke for the guests (as the place is so large, trolleys run frequently to move guests around the resort). Front desk staff not so friendly or helpful.
The major downside was the non stop barrage of folks on the beach trying to separate you from your money! Relaxing in the swings, beach chairs or outdoor Maui beds was nearly impossible as people would constantly approach selling everything from foot massages to jewelry & hats. But aside from those annoyances, it wa very nice & I would return."

I had the best time ever at Barceló Bávaro Palace — it was the perfect blend of pure relaxation and endless fun. The drinks were amazing (the mojitos were my absolute favorite!), and the staff’s warmth and hospitality made the entire experience unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine kindness. Check-in was incredibly quick and smooth, and we were lucky to be helped by a wonderful woman whose name I wish I remembered — she made sure every detail we requested for our room was taken care of. The room itself was fabulous, with breathtaking views that made every moment feel like paradise.
The food was decent, as you’d expect from most all-inclusives, but the specialty restaurants really stood out — my favorite was the Mexican restaurant. The staff was the heart of it all, always smiling, attentive, and making us feel completely safe. As two young travelers, that meant everything to us. They even went the extra mile by taking down taxi driver details to ensure our safety when we went out.
On our last day, when our pre-booked Expedia transportation failed to show up, one of the staff members quickly arranged for a trusted taxi driver so we could leave without stress. That kind of care and attention speaks volumes about their commitment to guests.
Everything about this trip was incredible, and I would 100% recommend Barceló Bávaro Palace to anyone. I can’t wait to go back again!"
"If you want the best food I would suggest getting the preferred club membership and checking out sea side grill. The buffet wasn’t all that appetizing, I didn’t eat much my entire trip because the food was very different. Even the fruit was overly ripe and inedible at times. When people warn you not to drink the tap water, do not use the tap water!! They put lots of bottles of water in the room, we even brushed our teeth with it because it will make you really sick and throw up. I’m not sure if the water in the pitcher at the restaurants were okay to drink, but I would order an alternative just in case. Same goes for ice if you’re an ice eater, DON’T DO IT!! "
