"Lovely hotel, really close to the city centre. Very clean and spacious room. Check in and check out was super easy. As we only stayed for one night, we didn’t get to check out all of the facilities but hoping to book again and find out. Really good price as well! "

"My wife, son & I decided to have a spontaneous night away (21-6-25) and after reading a few reviews and using google for location we decided to book with the Stamford Gate Hotel. On arrival the staff were extremely helpful and answered our questions. The room was good and I was even surprised to see trouser pressers in the room. Something I have not seen in many of years which and made me smile and have a good childhood memory of my late parents. The building looks very pretty inside and out with a modern feel. Local ales, IPAs at the bar if you wish to have local Welsh drinks. The beds were extremely comfortable, I personally was happy to not see big fluffy pillows that feel hard in most places we stay. The rooms are spacious and great amenities like iron, kettle, teas etc. They do have regular live events throughout the year which is great when you’re staying and huge function rooms that can hold very large groups of people. The breakfast was phenomenal, fresh flavourful ingredients and I highly recommend their cooked breakfast if you stay. What stood out to me and my wife was the genuine extra mile that the staff and owners Matt & Emma did for us. They took their time to have a chat with us, our son is high on the autistic spectrum and we could thank them enough for accommodating the additional needs. They both recommended a few areas we could visit and overall made our stay with them very relaxing. "

"Beautiful, historic home off a narrow country lane nicely converted to a B&B / guesthouse. Old charm with modern conveniences, pleasant grounds and plenty of on-site parking. Close to shopping center and other necessary conveniences, yet set in a quiet rural environment. Rooms are bright, clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Although not typically offered, Lawrence can provide a mighty, first-rate cooked breakfast if booked in advance. Smart kitchen facilities are available for early risers with coffee, tea, breads, cereals and juice, etc. Super staff! Our 3-day stay was delightful! We would certainly stay at Mere Brook House again."

"This is a blatant misrepresentation of the accommodation, you assume the photo on the advert is the building but it is not. The actual building resembles a derelict house with badly peeling black paint and grubby door and windows in an unattractive area where it feels unsafe to leave your car. The inside is slightly better but has torn flooring, wallpaper that has seen better days, uncomfortable seating, poor shower and cheap linen. The photo of the hot tub is laughable when you look at the reality. Luckily we were only staying one night otherwise we would have found other accommodation."

"I had a great stay at the 8 Quadrant apartments in Hoylake over the weekend. Communication with the host (Alex) was excellent throughout, making everything smooth and stress-free. We did have a little hiccup with the key retrieval but was able to find a solution not long after. The one-bedroom apartment was spacious and very comfortable. The location was also ideal—just a short walk to the train station (literally across the road), which made getting into Liverpool city centre super easy. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a convenient and comfortable base in the area. Thank you! "
