"We stayed in a converted stable which was unique - it was an apartment which was spacious, bright, and comfortable. It was lacking in aesthetics (color, pictures on the walls, pillows), nothing welcoming - and some conveniences like space in the bathroom to set things on (shelf, small table). Also there was a limited supply of toilet paper, towels, shampoo and soap - you had to supply these yourself or pay extra for them (3euros per extra towel). The staff was friendly and accommodating...

"Very impressed with the service, the staff and the ambience of the hotel. Breakfast was great and included in the price. Room was comfortable, spacious and warm. Bar/breakfast area is lovely. The restaurant is closed at weekends which was disappointing so we bought pizzas from the take away machine next door and sat in the hotel's social area with a few beers! Our dog was made mist welcome too!!"

"Recommended in Rick Steve's guide books so its a safe choice. Excellent location in center of Bayeux - short walk to museums and Notre Dame Cathedral. However, rooms don't have refrigerators nor is there an accessible ice machine without walking down to front desk. No elevator. Hot water seemed to not to be very hot after one of us showered first. During our stay, room wasn't made up the second day for some unknown reason. Street it faces doesn't allow cars so vehicle access is actually...
