Civilize is in a centralized location but not so centralized it’s crowded. Take 10 - 15 minutes to walk to the night market and central plaza. Same to the train station. It’s tucked away and quite frankly it’s pretty cool the first time you see it. And the staff… wow.

Overall a first class hotel.
An extremely clean hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast was good, as you come expect in this country. Need to walk to most of the restaurants, but there are a few near to the hotel. Downside for such a new hotel was that it did not have an in-room safe. Also disappointed with the advertised upgrades, such as room, free transfer to the hotel, free English breakfast and free wi-fi. Was told that this was only available if you had booked direct with the hotel. We did have the wi-fi, breakfast included with the room rate. Pity it did not state this on the posters.

Excellent hotel
Enjoyed our stay. Highly recc. Room tastefully designed n bed v comfortable. Bf gd choice. Hotel is situated in a quiet alley just away from the main traffic flow. Thus its v quiet. Gd location, only 1.2km to Central Plaza.

This hotel, for price and what it provides, is absolutely great. It pops up out of no where in a very centralized location. Half a mile from Udon’s limiter nightlife but just off a Main Street that offers everything that is this interesting little town. If there’s a drawback, if you can call this a drawback, the staff is very limited on English. However they are exceptionally friendly and eager to assist with any and all questions. The Issan region of Thailand is known for its amazingly friendly people. Civilize lives up to the areas reputation.

Beautiful facility centrally located. We booked 4 rooms and it was a challenge to make any changes. The standard room was very basic. Upgraded 1 room for more space and a safe. Very portable safe didn’t work and was not secured to anything anyway. Coffee machine in breakfast area didn’t work but found many amazing coffee shops around Udon. Breakfast was great early but lack of heat on food very concerning as breakfast was cold by 9am. The staff were friendly and were trying hard to be helpful. It just seems some systems and staff training would make a better experience for guests and staff. This hotel has the potential to be a great stay.

Lovely hotel tucked away up an alley off the fountain roundabout. All staff fantastic spoke English quite well. Very clean. Fab breakfast. Can have meals at night in resturantat reasonable prices. Money exchange just out front. Very quite at night. About 10min walk to central. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel would be difficult to find without a gps but would be well worth the effort. It is a new gleaming hotel only 6 months old. Incredibly priced, excellent on site restaurant. The only complaint I would have is the room electric power goes off when you remove the key card which heats up the room exposing your luggage and heat sensitive medicines to high temps if gone for the day. I asked the Front Desk if I could have 2 key cards for that purpose if I stayed at the hotel again and they said yes. If that proves true then the hotel is nothing less than 5 stars!
