"It ain’t what it used to be, in terms of service quality and overall cleanliness. Sandals and water are not provided and breakfast selection is limited. Way overpriced considering it’s a $300+ per night hotel. Should’ve offered a lot better experience."

"I recently stayed at the Hyatt Vancouver Metrotown for about three days, and overall I had a great experience. The hotel had only been open for three days when I checked in, so there were still a few small things being worked out, but the staff were absolutely amazing to deal with. Everyone was friendly, helpful, professional, and really made the stay enjoyable. The location of this hotel is honestly one of the best parts about it. If you’re visiting the Lower Mainland and need easy access to Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, or other surrounding areas, this is an excellent central location. The SkyTrain station is literally right in front of the hotel, and Metrotown Mall is right across from the station, which makes everything extremely convenient. The hotel itself is very clean, modern, and comfortable. It’s not a massive hotel, it’s only around 10 stories and has approximately 120 rooms, mixed with condominium residences in the building, so it feels more like a boutique-style hotel rather than a huge busy tower. They also have a nice restaurant on-site that’s a decent size and convenient for guests. One thing I absolutely loved about this hotel, and honestly have never really experienced this well anywhere else, was the blackout blinds in the rooms. They have full blackout blinds that make the room almost completely pitch black, with very little light coming through. If you enjoy sleeping in a dark room like I do, this is a huge bonus. They also have daytime blinds if you prefer"

"Great comfortable stay. We did a staycation with my son. He loved the pool us not so much it was freezing!! Also, if you don’t stay on the casino side you are not supplied robes in your room so the travel to and from the pool was not fun when wet, we didn’t find out till after our stay about the robes. We paid for parking so the travel wasn't too far as we had a child and can’t walk through the casino."

"Hotel was nice, quiet and clean. I got a complimentary upgrade and was surprised by the layout of the room that was basically a loft. Only downside was AC cooled down the downstairs and luckily the fan worked upstairs but it was still a bit warm. Other than that, the location was great, and the resturant besides it was pretty good."

"This is the ghost of a 4 star hotel. The sign of negligence and aging is everywhere. But I highly appreciate the staff for their friendliness and welcoming attitude. They are doing their best. But the owner/management should think about renovating the property. People are paying good money."

"Clean, comfortable rooms but a little noisy at times in the evening given proximity to Vancouver airport. Front desk staff was very efficient and responsive but not overly friendly. Perhaps not a totally fair comparison given we'd just came from a long stay at a similar hotel in Tokyo. Also, apparently there's an unwritten rule at this hotel that if you leave your room after 11AM you may not have your room cleaned unless you call the front desk. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. Airport shuttle service and driver was top notch!👍"
