Great place to stay near alstonville. Incredibly helpful service by Frances at a time of high pressure due to the Lismore floods. Thanks for all your help. Very nice garden rooms for those travelling or for a few days.

Motel is a bit tired and needs maintenance. Leaking taps, sofa seating has collapsed, Bathroom door catch got stuck in unlock and needed to be prodded to release, loose tap handle in shower.

The Unit itself was very clean and enjoyable BUT the bed seemed broken and very uncomfortable. When I pay to sleep somewhere, you want a nice bed. Maybe they need to invest on some new beds for peoples comfort.

We booked a twin room based on the information and photos on the hotels.com website which showed a walk-in shower in the bathroom. I also emailed the motel to check that this was the case but did not receive a reply so assumed it was. When we arrived and found a shower over the bath, not ideal for less mobile elderly people, the receptionist was pleasant but unable to move us to a suitable room. The location is quiet and the rooms are pleasant and well appointed but unfortunately we had an older style bathroom with mould in the silicon seals. It is handy to the Tavern next door which serves good meals and is quite popular, but maybe phone ahead to confirm if you need a room with a walk-in shower.

quiet location , clean , neat room , managers / staff friendly . great garden settings adding to privacy / tranquility. short walk to tavern where meals were good quality / value . If there was a picky point my meal at tavern arrived at about room temperature .

Fabulous and fiscally responsible
The management were incredibly friendly and accommodating, the property was clean and comfortable and the price was jaw droppingly good (particularly when compared to properties in nearby Ballina). I returned to the Garden Inn over the course of several nights and would definitely recommend it.

Very comfortable.
Stayed in a room with a queen bed and a single bed. Lovely comfortable room. Very spacious. Loved the balcony surrounded by bushes outside of our room. Very friendly and helpful reception. Room had toaster, microwave, plates, cutlery etc so very handy when staying a few days. Will be staying again.

We stayed 3 nights over New Year’s Eve to attend Tropical Fruits NYE . Private, Clean , great management , best check in - ever. Spacious rooms . Great garden veranda. Will be back again . A much superior motel than any we have stayed at in the past in Lismore and only a short 10 drive away - PERFECT !!!!
