We didn’t get the room we paid for. The women at the desk said we would get a $200 and then the manager refused to do it. The shower was filthy with a broken soap dish hanging off the wall. One of the outlets in the bathroom did not work. Staff not helpful will never return to this hotel

Sydney Harbour Hotel is rated 4 stars, but to me it was more like a 3 star property. My room was sparse and there were big scratches on some of the furniture. The mattress, however, was super comfortable, which was a big plus, and the housekeeping was excellent. The hotel is large and impersonal. The staff, while helpful and efficient, was not particularly warm. The location is excellent, very convenient and walkable to many major sites and to public transport, including many ferries. I would recommend it for the location and what is nearby, but not for the hotel itself.

When paying this amount for a motel I would expect some complimentary sundries such as biscuits and better tea and coffee. There was nothing available which was disappointing. Otherwise the venue was nice and staff were friendly.

The Sydney Harbour Hotel is in the perfect location. Close to shopping, food, the bridge, the opera house. Our room was small and didn't have a view, but I didn't pay very much for it, so I can't complain. Besides we spent the entire time exploring the area.
