The YEHS Hotel Sydney QVB is a solid, practical, no-frills hotel that was great for our travel purposes of having a conveniently located place to sleep and bathe. Our room was cozy but well-designed and laid out so that it did not feel tight or too small. Our bed was spacious, clean, and comfy. The desk was a good size for working, and the internet was speedy enough. The bathroom was also roomy and had plenty of space for our toiletries and hanging clothes and towels.
The location is fantastic. It's right next to the Town Hall train stop, right across from the Queen Victoria Building, and within walking distance of Darling Harbor (15 min) and Sydney Harbor (20 min). We also appreciated the lounge available for water refill and coffee/tea station, though it was weird to have to use a separate elevator to access it and have to go up an elevator and then down the main elevator to get from the lounge to the lobby.
The staff was all very nice, though they are not available after 11pm. Fortunately, the hotel has card access into the lobby after hours. Overall, while this is not the fanciest hotel, it's effective for travelers who don't need to spend a lot of time at the hotel.
