Staff insisted that a PIN had to be used for holding my credit card for any potential charges, and a signature could not be used.
My card is a Visa and has always been signed for. Have honestly never encountered this anywhere in Australia or other countries. The staff got visibly impatient and displeased when I explained to her, and just insisted that I had to enter a PIN when the card has never had one set. Eventually my friend and I managed to find a card with a PIN function. She even rolled her eyes when she collected our luggage to deposit!
As someone in the service line myself, find it honestly appalling. Also, it's 7 in the morning after a long flight, if I can manage to be polite and smile, i think you should too.
Wifi did not work, and when we asked for help, the reception staff insisted that we come down to the counter.
Towels and bedsheet were stained on some days.
Only thing good is the central location. Please just spend a bit more and book another hotel nearby. Options aplenty.
