"This resort is in a prime location about 15 minutes from the airport, which is very convenient. It’s family-friendly, and my son really enjoyed the pool and beach. We did run into quite a bit of seaweed during our stay, but overall the beach was still nice. The resort itself is a bit outdated and could definitely use some renovations. The photos online seem more vibrant than what you actually see in person. The food was hit or miss out of about 7 restaurants, only 2 really stood out. The sushi spot was probably the best, but wait times were very long (1–2 hours to be seated and additional time for food), which is frustrating for an all-inclusive experience. The staff was friendly overall. One downside was the constant pressure from sales staff in the lobby trying to get you to attend presentations. It became overwhelming at times, even after saying no. On a positive note, the rooms were clean, housekeeping was consistent, and we had no issues there. Overall, the resort has potential but needs updates. I likely wouldn’t return, but once you leave the resort, the food and overall vibe are much better. I’d recommend checking Google for the most recent reviews before booking."

"Low light in public bathrooms you have to pay for playing pool in lobby ,one pool only ,two bars only was only allowed to eat in buffet since I only stayed two days which for the amount I paid I didn’t agree "

"We had a great stay at Royal Sands Resort. The facilities could use a bit of updating, but everything was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and made us feel genuinely cared for as guests. One downside was our experience with a concierge who was quite persistent in trying to sell us a promotional offer. She offered a significant discount on a group tour if we will attend a 90-minute presentation about the hotel’s products. We initially declined because we wanted to fully enjoy our time at the resort. Later, we changed our minds about the tour and said we were happy to pay full price to avoid the presentation. However, she continued to strongly encourage us to attend, insisting there was no obligation to purchase. We explained multiple times that we preferred not to spend our vacation time in a sales pitch. Eventually, after some back and forth, she connected us with another staff member who helped us book the tour. Another inconvenience was the process for booking a reservation at Hacienda Sisal. You have to call the concierge early each morning, which isn’t ideal while on vacation. One morning, my husband called around 8:30 a.m. and was told it was already fully booked, with only an 8:30 p.m. slot remaining. It felt like reservations might be prioritized for certain guests,. Aside from these experiences, everything else was wonderful and we truly enjoyed our stay."

"We thought the restaurants were okay, but not great. A little rushed at the Italian. Apps came out separate. Same with entrees. Lunch, Sea Salt forgot about apps, never asked how food was, can we fill your water glasses( empty) or drinks(wife wanted another Zero Heineken. I fed feedback to mgmt about concern, yet was never interviewed by mgmt. "

"I stayed at this resort and had such a great experience! Everything was so clean, and the staff stayed on top of every detail. The pools were spotless and never overcrowded, so I never had to fight for a spot by the pool. The food was also really good. Even after checking out at 12:00 PM, I never felt rushed or like they were trying to kick me out. I still had access to the amenities and food until 5:00 PM, which made the whole experience even better. It’s the little things like that that really make you want to come back."

"Beach was very clean we stayed for 3 days the food was not the best and one night the chicken was under cooked . The biggest issue was you had no Internet in the room so the tv would not work and if you tried to use your phone it would not have signal in the room you had to go to the front lobby other than that location of the hotel is amazing. It’s not far from downtown amenities."

"STAY AWAY!!!! This property is the worst property I ever stayed in my life. Everything I touched was dirty from couch to, beds, pillows, chairs, bathroom, kitchen everything. Not only dirty, property is run down, broken, peeling paint, rust, mold, you name it. Unbelievable that this property exists in hotel zone. Ruined my whole thousands of dollars trip. Property did nothing and did not take accountability. Disgrace that they think it’s okay to expect guests to stay there. They have no respect for you or your money and well being. "
