"This was my first time staying at a Riu! My sister and I went for a 4 night stay for my birthday and I don’t believe I could’ve picked a better place to celebrate! Service and staff were phenomenal and the amenities and all inclusive service was definitely top notch! The hotel room and grounds were very clean and presentable at all times and staff was very friendly. The food - absolutely amazing! So many options to choose from, it was a dream! Walking down to the beach and relaxing was the best part! Riu and Puerto Vallarta have my heart!"
Riu Flamingos - All Inclusive

"My family and I have stayed at RIU Vallarta and at RIU Palace Pacifico in Puerto Vallarta. This time we stayed at RIU Flamingos since we saw they remodeled. The staff is not as friendly and attentive as the staff at RIU Vallarta and RIU Palace Pacifico. We didn't care for the horses in front of the beach. They leave their mess and you have to watch where you walk to make sure you don't step on it. I would rate the food a 6 out of 10. We were not told at check-in about the process of making reservations for the Steak House. When we showed up at the steak house, we were told reservations are only made via the app. They open 40 slots at 12am and once they are full, the reservation is closed. Good thing we found out before our last day there. I was able to reserve at 6:30am for that night."

"This hotel blew away my expectations. The hotel was older but clean and well set out. The rooms were bigger than I expected, as I’d only reserved a standard room. Staff were attentive and exceptionally polite and were always asking if we needed anything. Beach and pool and location of hotel was perfect. I really can’t find any negatives. The slightest of blips was when we arrived at the hotel at 2:15 PM and had to wait 45 minutes for our room to be ready at 3 PM. I’m not a big deal as we went and grabbed snacks and a drink, and even then the staff apologies and gave us restaurant vouchers. Will be returning for sure in the future"

"The resort is at a nice location with a very good beach. The swim-up rooms are very nice since you have you own personal outdoor space right off your room. The food at all restaurants is okay but nothing spectacular. I wish there were a few more options where you could just grab a bite stating in your swim gear, like a taco bar or some churros or quesadillas. Overall, it’s a very nice resort and highly recommended."
