"I enjoted my stay at the hotel. The old world experience of staying in a building that was built for people and not for profit was great. The room size was very generous and I felt comfortable. The fittings were all in good order and well maintained. The view of the roof immediately outside the window was not what I had hoped for but it did show that maintainence on the roof was needed. The small beech trees growing on the rafters needs urgent attention. The shower also needs a clear warning...

"Stay was absolutely fabulous. Upgraded my room to a King and the comfort didn't disappoint. The staff were always friendly and knowledgable for restaurant pick or as for me I needed to do laundry and the staff promptly let me know how to get to the Washing Well. Shame I had such a short stay. Only thing I wish I knew is where the non slip mat would be found, the bath tubs are slippery when wet."

"I’ve left several reviews for this hotel, the main issue I always find is the lack of staff at busier times, I spoke to one member who was in charge of the reception, bar and restaurant, this is fine if the hotel is very quiet but not so good when busy. "We had a wonderful 14 day stay in a 1-bedroom apartment on the top floor. The area around the Mansion is beautiful, walkable nature parks and fields. It is very quiet and secluded in a safe, clean area close to shopping and eateries. The restaurant at the mansion - Becketts was such a bonus to our stay. Everything we ordered was delicious and the Full English Breakfast was a huge hit for my husband, and I really enjoyed the Avocado toast and then there was the dessert case...so yummy! The room...
