"This hotel is in an incredible location directly across from the church where St. Francis is entombed. To get to it you have to drive through the pedestrian only cobblestone street so a small car is advised. Also, you need to arrange parking if you are driving to it. We did not arrange parking but the clerk (Jean Luke if I remember correctly) went above and beyond to accommodate our vehicle. He also helped us to arrange our pre-dawn departure as there was no clerk at the desk at that hour. The view of the church from our 5th floor room was incredible. The staff unexpectedly prepared us a lunch in a bag for our next morning departure. All in all we had a marvelous experience!"

"The room was clean. I felt the shower was tight. It was extremely hot in the room despite the “air conditioning “, which seemed to do nothing. We opened the window to try and cool it off, but there was so much traffic noise. Our understanding was that there was no traffic aloud in the historic area, but that was not the case. For the price we paid and the lack of sleep I would not book this place again."
