"Pros: really lovely looking hotel, great location to get around the city, comfortable mattress. Cons: Not the warmest reception from staff aside from the last day when we met two really friendly ladies. We were in a garden room which was nice enough inside, however, the glass wall/window were so exposing that you had to have the curtain pulled across the entire time. That became quite annoying when leaving and entering as it would get caught in the door. The front door itself was very heavy and not the easiest to open. The garden rooms have a mini courtyard bit so whenever anyone walked through with a case the noise would really carry and would wake us up each morning. Because the whole wall was glass as it rained it was really loud and again woke us up. One evening we attempted to get a drink at the adjoining bar, when I approached the bar I was asked to find a table and someone would take a drinks order. After 15 minutes of waiting we gave up and went elsewhere. All in all a perfectly fine hotel but absolutely not worth the £200+ a night fee."

"Appreciate it was a Saturday when I arrived but there was no one at the front desk and I waited 20 mins to check in, then waited a while checking in for breakfast in the morning. The room was small and basic and property very old, I didn’t feel the photos reflected it well. It felt like a travel lodge, which would’ve been better value for money. The staff were kind"

"Arriving you have to climb 8or so steeps and there was zero help with the luggage. Then you have to drive your car to a parking lot which is 5 minutes by car (as so many one-way streets) and then 5 minutes walk back. Arrived and people at front desk were kind and helpful (other than lack of bellmany but office door open, paper shredder working overtime, and it wasn't the wonderful experience I had hoped on first entry. Rooms well appointed with water and soft drinks (not a single biscuit or crisp -strange) but all in all nice, but not up to top par as it suggests Location perfect but please "fix how we enter our stay as it set the tone in the wrong way" and give me a biscuit for my tea in the morning"
