"What a pleasant experience, that I was not expecting from a budget hotel chain. I wanted a stop over and found the hotel to be excellent value, clean, comfortable and just what I needed for a very affordable price. The room was adequate for my needs, basic but still very well structured with coffee/tea amenities, small shower area and a comfortable bed. The breakfast was very good, with several options available, a good coffee choice. Can't complain for £70 mid week, well done Ibis and its pleasant employees."

"Clean room. Apart from the conditioner not being topped-up in the bathroom, everything was in place. Staff were polite and friendly at reception and at breakfast. The breakfast meal was well laid out. Plentiful and good variety. Location was close to station and very convenient for the city centre. I would recommend."

"The room was very clean. Comfortable beds, good shower. The view wasn’t great (concrete wall!) but didn’t matter to us. Excellent value for money. Fantastic location in the centre of town and so quiet, I was surprised I couldn’t hear any noise from the roads. Staff were very friendly and helpful, though a bit slow at check in, beware longer queues at 3pm. Quick check out available."

"The hotel itself is nice and our twin room was of a good standard, however, the bathroom smelt of blocked drains continuously (the sink plug had been left in to stop the smell). The shower was an odd setup as the tray was around 20cm above the floor level which required a large step to get in the shower. The grab handle was out of reach getting in the shower and there was no grab handle to get out of the shower. There was a small printed sign in the shower advising the user to be careful of wet slippery surfaces and that a non-slip mat could be obtained from the hotel. This sign would have been better placed outside the shower where it could be read easily rather than only readable when you're already in the shower!"
