"Great location and so convenient for local restaurants and shops. Parking offside took a minute or two and was really easy. Our room was very large and perfect for my disabled Mum. Breakfast and food in the bar was excellent. It was lovely to sit and relax with such a stunning view. Chantelle made sure our room was always clean and lovely to return to. All the staff were so sweet and nothing was too much trouble. Overall great value, fabulous location, gorgeous views and walkability."

Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa

Ambleside Salutation Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent
"A wonderful stay yet again at the salutation hotel. The location of the hotel makes it an ideal stay to visit Ambleside. Perfect to park the car when you arrive and no need to use it again for your stay. Having a spa within the hotel is a bonus and the standard of cleanliness throughout the hotel is exceptional. We stayed in a room at the front of the hotel , which yes there is a little street noise , but nothing you wouldnโ€™t expect staying in a town centre , and certainly didnโ€™t keep you awake at night - in fact it was probably one of the highlights of our room - people watching below and the beautiful fells in the distance. Breakfast is a real treat , excellent selection of hot and cold food and drinks , there is everything you could possibly want for breakfast. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff - everyone greats you with a smile and are most helpful. Having visited the Lake District from childhood staying at campsites, lodges, cottages and b&bโ€™s , I can honestly say this is my favourite place to stay. Thank you to the team at The Salutation Hotel , hopefully we will return soon."

8/10 Good
"I had a Comfort Room for my one night stay. The room is small-ish but perfectly adequate for one or two people for a few nights. There is some hanging space, and worktops/bedside tables, and good lighting. Heating was excellent and is controlled through your phone using a QR code link. The bathroom has bath and shower and a nicely illuminated mirror. Food, both dinner and breakfast were very good too. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a very good stay, and a hotel I would certainly use again."
