I'll be honest, I had to idea where to stay for my one night micro-break in Busselton, WA. I saw Inn the Tuarts on Last Minute, and thought it looked nice, so I made the booking. I am so very thankful that I did! The welcome was so warm and friendly, and I was given a tour of the main areas of the hotel. I was also given an upgraded room, which was absolutely lovely. Air conditioned/heated, with my own bathroom and a sliding door that opened out onto a little alcove/verandah and onto the pool/spa/sauna area - very handy, had I brought my bathers! (This might be problematic, if there are noisy guests late at night?). This area was lovely, with an under-cover BBQ area and ample seating for guests. Outside is just...heavenly. Peaceful, quiet, surrounded by massive trees and bushland. Down the road, there are picnic areas to sit in the silence and delight in the beauty of the Tuart's Forest. I didn't see any kangaroos, although there was evidence aplenty of their existence! The motel is only a short drive from the main town of Busselton, which itself is beautiful, and has all the mod-cons of a big city, (supermarket, fast food, etc), but with a beach and their famous jetty that is just...astoundingly beautiful. I can definitively say I'll return to Busselton and the Inn the Tuarts motel; I host photography retreats in SA, and am churning over ideas on how I can expand to WA, specifically to this region and being based at the Inn the Tuarts motel. Thanks for such a lovely stay.
