"Was pleasantly surprised at what good value the place was. The location is right next to the channel, so the beach isnt the greatest and the water shallow, but they make up for it with a great pool, bear in mind there'll be activities and music till around 10pm. Restaurants and food is phenomenal, they feed you well and with a good attitude. Rooms had everything we need with a free bar, snack bar and the tours they offer are pretty good value too. Literally the only complaint we could come up with is the room doors don't lock or have a deadbolt, so anyone from your group with the wristband can walk in anytime, and housekeeping also tends to just walk in, so deadbolts on the doors would be a good idea. The whole family loved the stay and no regrets"

"Visited to celebrate our anniversary and left thoroughly underwhelmed. The property is old and carries a persistent musty smell throughout. Our room had visible molds on the white curtains, closet were very musty, room was persistently humid, with slippery floors and an air conditioning unit that simply didn’t work. Mind you we actually booked Excellence Exclusive Club, which I’d strongly advise against. The only real difference is access to one additional restaurant and bar. The exclusive pool is ironically worse than the main pool, and there’s no pool bar — which defeats the purpose entirely. The beach was poorly maintained and had an unpleasant odor that made it difficult to enjoy. A real shame for a beach resort. Also we there were vendors who were trying to sell stuffs at the beach. Food across the property was mediocre at best — I’d rate most dining options 4 to 5 out of 10. The one exception was Spice Asian Cuisine, which was genuinely good and deserves an 8/10. We specifically mentioned we were celebrating our anniversary. The “special treatment” amounted to a banner on the door, two roses, and a card at dinner. No personal touch, no effort — just a token gesture. The staff were friendly, and that’s the nicest thing I can say. We came here to try something different. We won’t be coming back"

"The room was not what you would expect from a 5 star. The supposed double bed was closer to a single bed and the humidity in rooms led to pillows + sheets being damp all the time. No amount of AC, ceiling fan or anything could help. The elevators kept going out of service throughout the trip and the AC in the elevators wasn’t working many times. The food at resort wasn’t good and we kept leaving to eat at the strip. I never leave reviews but I feel the need to because somehow all reviews before we chose this place failed to mention these things. This is our second stay in Cancun and we can confidently say this is closer to 3 star resort. "

"Pool was fine. Dinner reservations are a disaster. Unable to get reservations anywhere. They don't have the capacity at the restaurants for all the guests so you are just forced to eat the buffett food majority of the times. "

"Spa is too big to walk around, Masuse are not to experience. I get massage a lot I can tell. Pool experienced it’s okay. I wish, all members can access all the pool site. If you are not a member you can’t be on that certain pool. I got talked to for sitting on members pool bench. I still appreciate their kindness and how hard they work, the staff."
