"Stayed here for 7 nights and it was an amazing experience! Staff was courteous even when English was not their forte. Breakfast buffet was spectacular with both eastern and western choices of food. Room was clean and spacious. There are quite a bit of freebies including some complimentary evening snacks. Location of this hotel is less than 5 min walking distance from the metro where 1 stop can allow for transfers to the 2 line which connects you almost anywhere downtown. If we ever go again, would choose urcove hyatt and jing an! Highly recommend"

"Great location, only a few minutes walking distance to Line 2 subway station, 15-20 minutes to Nanjing East Road and the Bund. The room and the bathroom were spacious and mostly clean but there was noticeable dust on the floor lamp shade and the TV cabinet. Overall. A great experience."

"The hotel rooms itself was great. Rooms were spacious and clean but the hotel staff at front desks were questionable. When I got to the front desk, two female staffs were busy with customers. Then this younger male staff was picking up something from the printer and sees me standing there and says in Mandarin "do you need something?". I was shocked the way he asked me. I can listen and speak a little mandarin but I don't know how to say "What time is check out time?" So thinking this is an international hotel with lots and lots of foreigners, I would assume he understands English. So I asked him in English "I would like to know what time is check out time" and then he started to frantically shout "Shem me..check ah? Shem me?? Shem ahhh?" And I took a step back when he started shouting. Other customers and my friends were around as the hotel was quite busy. One of the female staff noticed his behavior and quickly moved him away. Then she asked me in English "Hi, how may I help you". So I asked her what time is check out time? And she politely gave me the check out time. Even if the front desk guy could not speak English, at least be polite when greeting in Mandarin."

"Amazing stay in a spacious suite in heart of Shanghai. They have a fabulous breakfast, indoor pool, top notch 24/7 gymz. There are steam sauna facilities, You need to inform the front desk at the spa if you want to use complimentary steam room and sauna services. Well maintained property that is very clean and quiet. Butler service was very responsive, I forgot my iPhone charger and they promptly lent me one for the stay."

"Quiet and leafy location with cafes/restaurants within walking distance; easy to get to the Bund within 20 mins by cab. Staff very helpful; rooms beautiful; breakfast good - but the Chinese food is much better than the Western fare (which could be slightly disappointing). But on the whole very difficult to find fault with the system experience."
