"Stayed here for one night in a cocoon and overall it’s exceptional value for money.
The location is unbeatable and check-in was quick and easy. I’d read reviews mentioning issues for Expedia bookings, but I didn’t run into any problems at all.
My first room (2nd floor) was spotless, spacious, with a nice bathroom and a decent bed — but there was loud nightclub noise coming from below. I spoke to reception and they moved me straight away, which suggests they’re aware it can be an issue.
The new room on the 7th floor was quieter, though slightly smaller.
A few things to be aware of: rooms are very minimal — no hairdryer, iron, fridge, or even glasses. For the price, that’s fair enough, but worth knowing in advance. That said, the WiFi was fast and reliable and the air conditioning worked really well, which made a big difference. There is very limited privacy between the bathroom and the bedroom which wasn’t an issue as I was on my own, but something to bear in mind if travelling with someone else.
There’s also a large basement cafeteria area with a coffee shop, which is handy.
Bottom line: great budget option in a prime location — just ask to avoid the 2nd floor if you want a good night’s sleep."
