"Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

"Check-in was quick and easy - the lady who checked us in was friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Our room was lovely, with a large and comfortable bed, plenty of cushions, and a peaceful, warm atmosphere. There were also tea-making facilities and a fridge, which was a nice touch. We didn’t get a chance to try the spa or gym facilities this time, but breakfast was excellent - a great variety on offer, quick service, and perfectly cooked scrambled eggs!
