There was no mention from Expedia or the hotel that I needed a copy of my passport. They would not let me in until I could provide a copy. Along with that, the A/C unit blew directly on to the bed. This meant I either slept with cold air blowing on me or the room was too hot and humid.

The staff make this property shine. Sonya and Tui (spelling?) greet you in the morning for breakfast with a smile, and take the time to remember your preferences and chat about your upcoming day. All of the staff were friendly and warm, making a business traveler feel more at home.

Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
Builders outside my window and in the room opposite - no attempt by the latter to shut the door and limit the noise; the rooftop restaurant served the worst food I have ever eaten - the 'sirloin steak' was not sirloin (and I even have doubts as to the animal of origin); check-out took over half an hour because they were charging for a lunch I hadn't had - I then had to go to work and return later to settle bill, to enable them to figure out what it was (apparently a can of coke served after noon counts as lunch).

Hotel is in calm area, which I liked.
Overall experience of the stay is good. I liked Fruit basket. Due to heavy traffic it takes long time to go any place in Dhaka.
