"Great place to stay—location is fantastic, there’s a little stove/fridge/laundry which makes things so much more convenient, and it was a smooth check in. The only thing is that it was extremely hot in the rooms—I was there during a heat wave so it was understandable, but it was 33 degrees in the room which made it tough to sleep. "The only downside is the closest tube station isn't that close and the ones that are the closest have really minimal weekend hours... so getting back and forth to Covent Garden ( where we spent a lot of time and saw shows) it wasnt the easiest commute."

"Comfy bed and right next door to this great Italian restaurant, real Italian pizza, also central for seeing Buckingham Palace and we were able to walk to Kensington palace as well. Lots of good restaurants nearby and sites close. No air conditioning and we were there during the heat wave in mid May so a little hot to sleep but otherwise love it!"

"Unlike a conventional hotel this is student accommodation which functions as a hotel during the summer. I wasn't sure what to expect so will give some extra details for others who might be considering it too. Positives and things that felt like a typical hotel: + A manned reception desk, key-card operated rooms. + Bed is already made-up with sheets, plus a towel and toiletries. + Guests staying at the hotel were tourists and workers of a variety of ages - it felt very much like a hotel. + The included breakfast had all the usual options: cooked food, continental, toast with condiments, automatic coffee machines etc. + Was mostly quiet and peaceful during my stay. It didn't seem crowded. + £50 for a single room and a cooked breakfast in central London is unbeatable value! + Room and facilities were clean. + There are also small shared kitchens (but they were not very equipped so check before planning to eat in!) Differences to expect versus a hotel: - Obviously the facilities are very functional and not intended to look stylish - maybe not one for a honeymoon! - Shared shower/toilet facilities - not busy but more logistics in terms of bringing stuff to the shower. Shower temperature was inconsistent and mostly cold. - No aircon and room was quite warm when I arrived. No TV in the room, but communal TV room. - As others have said - mattress and pillow were a bit meagre. Great value, comfortable stay. I would have no hesitation in staying again."
