"The room was spacious, clean, bed comfortable, carpet throughout hotel clean and modern looking as well as decor. We definitely will want to stay here when we are in the area again. "
"I love this historic property! It has become my “go-to” when in DC. With an expansive terrace and beautiful gardens that overlook Rock Creek Park, it feels like an oasis resort within the city. And yet, it is only a short block from a red line Metro station, offering easy access to the rest of the city. Additionally, I believe it is the closest hotel to both the Smithsonian Zoo and the National Cathedral. The hotel is nearly 100 years old but quite well-maintained. On this last visit, our room did have an “old musty” smell, a singular distraction in an otherwise stellar stay. "
"Loved how artsy the hotel is as soon as you walk in. Easy to check in and out. My Check in was 2pm and my flight came in at 8 am was accommodated with a room right then and there. Really thought I’d have to walk around for hours until it was time. So convenient and no hassle. "
"Everything here was exceptional, except for the resteraunt.. The food was flavorless, and overpriced. We tried to make the best of the food, but the female server had such overpowering body odor, that we were unable to finish our food. She had no issue reaching over our shoulders, no attempt to try and keep the putrid smell away. But other than that one experience, we loved everything about this hotel. I would stay here again, but I suggest to go somewhere else if you are hungry. "
