The room was exactly as pictured. Clean, well furnished and good strong air conditioning. The "lobby" however was not quite pleasing. It looked like a 24hr mini mart. Almost felt I was in the wrong place, if not for the neon sign.

The receptionist was so friendly, thanks for the assistance, overall satisfied, eventhough located in middle of town there's no noises from dog. I'm very enjoying staying there.

Disastrous!

* Room is much smaller than what is shown on the pictures * Out of 4 nights, we had 3 horrible nights * very noisy: each time the guests from the room next to us were using the bathroom, it was extremely noisy in our room especially when they were taking showers at 2am and 5am. * no daily clean up of the room * we had 2 electrical shutdown at night which resulted in no aircon/fan and more annoying, an alarm light which prevented us to sleep during the blackout (2x1h) * there is no elevator / so if you are on 2nd floor with luggages, it’s very annoying

Peu mieux faire

Chambres relativement petites (photos retouchées pour paraître plus grand). Des petites bêtes qui envahissent tout. Salle de bain assez sale. Rue très passante donc très bruyant. Le point le plus positif est sa situation géographique, très intéressante au centre historique.

Just book this place

Google map doesn't show how convenient this place is! Most of the attractions are in easily walk-able distance and if not, you can get Grab easily at about RM5 to most of them. The staff are cheerful and friendly. We told them about the sink draining slowly and they fixed it in that day itself. Comfy beds, pillows, relatively strong wifi. The water pressure in the bathroom may not be perfectly strong but it is nowhere weak. If I am to find something to improve on would be sound isolation. This room next to us had one wilder night and we can hear them laughing but it wasn't serious enough for us to complain about it. Also, note that there is no elevator on the premise. The top floor is only 2 floors up, though.

Nice Sized Apartment in a Quiet Location..

Good: Clean comfortable beds, but short in length, that are made up each day providing you select the appropriate door setting. The room was a good size and the on suite shower was very nice after a tough day taking photos. Free water is available in the lobby together with 3 sachets of coffee each day. Bad: The Wi-Fi is generally okay with the exception of evening times when every man and his dog are using it. Very noisy in the morning and evenings because several rooms adjoin the same corridor. There is only one setting for the ceiling fan, off or full blast. The bathroom has many tropical plants that attract flies and the like.

It was a pleasant stay with comfortable beds and basic toilet. Fairly large room size that fits 3 people. However, fridge was spoilt and they didn’t do anything about the repair nor change it as it was hot and humid in January and wanted cold water to drink constantly. I was staying on 2nd floor and I could hear noises from the “lobby” ground floor. Also it is a heritage apartment which is located near the main road, I constantly hear vechicles driving past at night. Do note that both shower room and toilet are only sealed off with insects netting on an opened heritage tiles. But overall my stay was pleasant and staffs were friendly.

Best clean hotel in the mddle of Penang old street

The hotel is conveniently located at the corner of the old Penang street. So exploring the shops, local food, arts is within walking distances. You can rent a bike any time as well. The room is clean and comfortable. However there is no hooks in both bathroom. Have informed the conuter about it. The air conditioning is new and pleasantly quiet. However since it is closed to the main road occassionaly can hear speeding vehicles but it is not deterrent. Do note there is no lift, just a staircase.
