Hampton Inn Harrisburg-East (Hershey Area)

"My family and I had a nice stay at this Hampton Inn over the 4th of July weekend. The property and rooms are very clean. The breakfast offerings were great- I really appreciated the healthy options of chobani yogurt, apples, bananas and oranges. The employees were all very professional, kind and helpful. The gym was surprisingly well appointed with a TRX rig, Peloton bike, rower and lots of space to work out. I was able to do yoga and pilates workouts because I brought my own mat. The room we had was perfect because it had a separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the sitting room. The small kitchenette and refrigerator were perfect for storing drinks and snacks. The only reason, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the other guests. There are A LOT of kids at this property. I learned that this is a favorite spot to stay for families with kids who are in sports tournaments. That is great, but parents need to take responsibility for their kids and not let them run up and down the halls/stairs, sit on the floor in the corridors and leave their trash and food leftovers in the common spaces. It's not fair to the hotel staff or other guests. We would stay here again in spite of the overwhelming amount of kids- we'd just have to mentally prepare for the ill manners of some guests. The gym, its location, the nice staff and the cleanliness of the rooms made it a good place to stay."
