"I’d give The New Yorker Hotel a 6/10 overall. The location and building itself are nice, but my experience ended on a frustrating note. I was charged a smoking fee even though I have never smoked in my life. Apparently their sensor was triggered by hairspray, which set it off and resulted in the charge. Now I’m stuck dealing with disputing a fee for something that simply didn’t happen. It’s honestly been a huge pain to deal with, and situations like this make the stay feel a lot less enjoyable. I understand hotels enforcing no-smoking policies, but charging such a large fee without properly verifying what actually triggered the sensor feels unfair. Because of that experience, I can’t rate my stay higher than a 6/10."

"Small room mold in the ac vents. It was a doubly bed room the could honestly fit just 1 bed comfortably. Elevators were SLOW AF. They put signs up that we would wait up to 15 minutes. Elevator was empty still many is wait because they had no service elevator! Breakfast was average the oatmeal was the only good thing! No space to sit and eat staff left the mess they saw on table to do other things. I expected better "

"This was the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed at. From the moment we checked in, the staff were impolite and unwelcoming. When we requested a room change, everything became disorganized and the situation was handled poorly. The air conditioning in our room did not work properly, and the hotel looked completely different in person compared to the photos online. The building itself is very old and poorly maintained. During breakfast, if you arrive a bit late, there is hardly any food left. Even the elevator was often overcrowded, making the stay uncomfortable. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations and was very disappointing."
