"The resort is top notch. Wife & I enjoyed our stay and we would return in the future. The only buzz kill was after checking in. The lady pointed to towards another lady that said would assist us moving forward and offered us a drink. Afyer that, annyoying as heck, as they kept trying to do tje whole sales pitch to upgrade and do all inclusive etc. Bit annoying but after getting thru that and letting them know that we plan on exploring the town and eating where the locals eat, we were good. "Went here late October 2025, with my 16 year old son and nephew. WOW! We loved the hotel, the pool, the common areas and our enormous room. The hotel is so unique, and you'll feel quite at home right away. Gorgeous little art pieces and fantastic wood antiques and huge wooden doors. Location on the river was beautiful, and so relaxing. Music floats on the night air. Breakfast on the river side deck is WONDERFUL! Take advantage! Just be sure to sit protected under a sun umbrella, as the naughty iguanas are snacking on the berries above and might drop some leaves or bark Food was simple, but well made. Service was great. Here's a hint - to get to the Malecon take the back gate and pop over to the other side of the river. Mosey on down through the vendors stalls. This was such a neat way to get to the beach. Such a quick little walk. The Hotel staff went BEYOND our expectations. Front desk gals were amazing. They helped out with restaurant recommendations, tour info, directions. Try ANY restaurant that they recommend. Foodies will love them. The service staff fellows were so helpful and cheery. Bed was super comfortable. A/C was collllllddd. Ceiling fan, gorgeous furniture, colourful walls, nice bedding, little fridge, safe, The road out front is under construction (as of October 25, 2025)- so if you're ordering an Uber, make sure to grab the name of the hotel on the closest intersection for pick up. I will be back. This hotel is an absolute gem of a place."
