Butterfly on Wellington, Central

Butterfly on Wellington, Central

10/10 Excellent
"Good value for money - central location (but some fair walking required) - staff is very helpful (for example: we arrived late and bags were still brought to our room) - room is clean, well maintained and equipped (superior room) - access is a bit difficult (small for a lot of luggage) - very quiet - all-in-all highly recommended!"

The Salisbury - YMCA of Hong Kong

The Salisbury - YMCA of Hong Kong

8/10 Good
"The staff could not be more helpful: reception, concierge & house-maids in particular. I had a top floor room with excellent views over the harbour so that was a real plus. The bed was huge (King size) and firm and I was able to have firm pillows delivered quickly to my room on request. There were plenty if fresh towels and good shampoo/conditioner/body-wash in the bath-shower. My room also had a useful fridge, air-conditioning and they even provided a handy adapter for the Hong Kong electricity plugs. I used the YMCA 25m indoor pool as a hotel guest (free) and found it easy to find a decent lap lane daily after 9am. (There is also a well equipped gym, but I did not need it.) The lifts were responsive and did not delay me at any stage. I think the hotel is starting to look a little tired or dated compared to the nearby competition, but it is of course much better value-for-money. I would prefer a separate shower (i.e. not in the bath), but they provide a non-slip mat and it was OK. I did not use the cafe or restaurant, but there are so many others nearby to try as well as so many new shopping malls within an easy walk as is the MRT and the ferry terminals."

"This was exactly what we needed for our room in Hong Kong, it was a good location and we enjoyed the Sheung Wan district. Also close to other districts to walk or take a taxi. The room was clean and they upgraded us for free, I would say the rooms were a little tired but still nice enough and had what we needed. The offer free cold and hot drinks and some snacks to enjoy in the hotel which was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful."

iclub AMTD Sheung Wan Hotel

iclub AMTD Sheung Wan Hotel

8/10 Good
"Our family stayed at the iclub AMTD Sheung Wan Hotel for six nights, and it was a pleasant surprise. It offers a great combination of comfort, convenience, amenities, and value, especially for families. The room and bathroom were large in size by Hong Kong standards—modern, clean, and glossy tiled floors with decent sized comfortable beds and a well maintained bathroom. One amenity we really appreciated was the on-site laundry, which is uncommon in Hong Kong hotels. It costs HK$70 for the washer and dryer. There is only one set and it is shared with hotel staff, but it was still very convenient for a longer stay. The hotel also has a nice common sitting area and outdoor patio, with complimentary filtered water and coffee available all day. We appreciate that after a long day back at the hotel. The Sheung Wan location is another big plus. It is convenient to MTR and ferry to Macau but much quieter and less touristy than Tsim Sha Tsui. The neighborhood is also interesting to explore and known for its traditional dried seafood shops selling abalone, fish maw, dried shrimp, mushrooms, and other local specialties. Considering the cleanliness, location, amenities, and price, this hotel is an excellent value for Hong Kong. We had a very comfortable stay and would gladly return."

Dash Living On Hollywood

10/10 Excellent
"Very happy with my stay here. Very central - nearest station is just 5 minutes away with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Clean, comfortable, fairly spacious room. It had everything I needed - comfortable double bed, good wi-fi, kettle, mini-fridge and the shower was powerful. The air conditioning worked well but I would have liked it at a lower temperature. Hong Kong is extremely humid in the summer. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Hong Kong."
