My first stay at Rothay Garth and the friendly staff - Joanna - made the experience more delightful. Finding the location via car GPS was intriguing. It said the location was on the left when the actual address is on the right side a little further down from the GPS indication. After making couple of rounds we found it and glad there was parking was available. Overall, Ambleside is a perfect location as a base to visit the lakes district and Rothay Garth was an excellent choice.

Stayed for 3 nugtd with my family. Great place. Nice room. Great service and excellent behavior by all the staff. Good was excellent as well.

Beautiful boutique B&B away from the hustle of Windemere’s main street. Tasty curated breakfasts and home style service.

Hotel had private lake which was beautiful during sunrise. Breakfast was good. Family Room was a good size. Carpet could be cleaner.

Nice place for leisure and stay. Very short drive to local attractions

Short walk to the beautiful lake. Do note that the drive up into the property is a small slope and would be slightly difficult for larger cars. Cleanliness was alright with the exception of some cobwebs at the corner ceilings. Nice place, great staff, well equipped!

Daffodil has a great location. It is on the main road and hence easy to locate. The bus stop is just 50 mts away and William Wordsworth cottage is just opposite. 2 good trails start from the hotel. Proximity to the village of Grasmere is an added bonus. The fantastic restaurants in Grasmere is at walking distance from this hotel. We enjoyed our after dinner walks back to the hotel. The hotel staff is well informed and very helpful.
