"It is an antique hotel. I like the dim sum in the Chinese restaurant, the foods is nice with reasonable price. The buildings around the hotel are so antique. Make sure take as many pictures as you can. Something you need to concern : The subway is about 600m to 800m away from the hotel. I don't mind to walk, because I can enjoy my view around the area. "The hotel is clean and staff are friendly. The price is good for Guangzhou and the location is close to some interesting old streets with lots of character. The metro is close and a KFC and Pizza Hut. Good internet if you plug in. Wifi not so good. I always plug in with an ethernet cable."

However as I was arriving from another country I had 3 suitcases and the porter/concierge refused to help me lift my suitcases onto the hotel trolley to take to my room despite several requests from the reception lady. "Property very old and not kept clean..it was different fromn what was on the website. Firstly thsy continued to say i was not booked with them thiugh i had fully paid for my stay through Expedia. It took more than an hour to resolve. I was first taken to a different which i belive is the one i booked on website. They decided to send me to a dodgy one where even their standard rate did not reconcile to the one I had booked. Again the address was difficult to find, phines were nit working. I...

"Guangzhou has everything you can imagine. Everything including not much English spoken. Breakfast was very greasy. The location is fine . Close to " clothes heaven " for shopping and pretty close to,the railway station."
