"I had many thoughts about a hospital hotel. How far from the hospital and would it really be as nice as it looks. Well it was better than expected and the bonus was how it was part of the hospital, we had come by bus / train and so easy to find. Just ask people if you get stuck, bus driver was great. "There are not enough places to eat here and not enough staff to service everyone. It would take a half an hour to get a cup of coffee in the morning. The valet had one person working and the line was 30 minutes long. This place has a bunch of 18 year olds running restaurants that are not well trained."

"This place is pretty tired and no effort is made to make it look less tired than it is. The staff gives lots of good chat and is perfectly friendly but there was not much substance behind it. The milk I was promised for my room never materialised, room service was left in the hallway all day, etc. a charge for coffees at breakfast was added without being told there was a charge for « specialty ». Overall quite disappointing."

Rooms are big and spacious - but soo old and with carpets not really covering in the corners - windows full of old dirt and beds not worth spending the night in. Oh and the smell of old …If this place was renovated it would be an absolute gem. Food not that good - breakfast just the basics and not very well presented. The spa/pool has everything you need but again - could you fix the broken tiles the roof and make it just a bit more 2026 than 1986. The garden - the lake - the mountains. The location stunning! "

"Hotel is very run down and in urgent need of an upgrade. Very disappointed overall, particularly as have stayed at other Leonardo hotels and they were great (hence why we booked this one). All staff were very friendly and helpful and it’s a shame that they have to work in an environment that is so run down. Upon complaining about general state of facilities we did receive a 50% refund, so big thanks to the manager for his understanding. The Leonardo chain should be ashamed that one of its hotels is in such a bad state."
