"One of the nicest hotels we stayed at during our trip, and likely one of my favorites overall. The staff were exceptionally kind and courteous. They made check in and out very easy. When we first arrived we were greeted with a complimentary beverage of our choice. I loved the design of the hotel. The lobby itself is beautiful! The stonework, art, and the integration of plant life throughout was all it's so wonderful to take in and admire. The rooms are similarly as well designed. They have a very modern aesthetic but also provides a very very calm and relaxing atmosphere. The accent lighting was lovely. The beds are also very comfortable. But for me the highlight on top of all of this was the guest lounge area. I appreciated the access to drink and snacks even in the later hours of the day. To top it all off, there is a common bath area that was wonderful to relax and in the evening. It was an amazing experience. I would definitely stay there again!"

The property is easy to get to from Kyoto station, the staff are all so friendly and professional, the amenities are great, rooms are clean and comfortable. The onsen is one of my favorite things about staying here. The breakfast is excellent too!"

"We had a great stay at Kyoto Granbell Hotel. Coming from Canada, we expected the room and bathroom to be quite small by our standards, and they were, but that was not a surprise and didn’t take away from the overall experience. The service was excellent, the hotel was clean and comfortable, and the food was very good. The location was also fantastic, making it very convenient to explore Kyoto and get around the area. The hotel is close to Gion and many restaurants, shops, and attractions, while still being a comfortable place to come back to after a long day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again when visiting Kyoto."

"I absolutely LOVE this hotel. As a single female traveler, it makes me feel very safe and welcome. The hotel was so kind to upgrade my stay to a better room. They offer thoughtful amenities such as face mask, bath soap, lotions, face wash, razor, hair treatment, cool body towel (so nice to use for a hot summer day), etc. I love coming back to the hotel by the end of the day and use those free beauty products that they offer. It feels luxurious. The face mask and hair treatment worked wonder. I love it so much! They have everything you need, even a scale to weight your suitcase, and water to drink. The room has a nice view of the street. The only regret I have is not to stay here longer. The location is also very great! Highly recommended. It's worth every penny!"
