"My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Cross Hotel in Kyoto. The hotel itself is beautifully designed and our room was spacious with plenty of natural light from the large window overlooking the canal and walking path. The bathroom was lovely with a large soaking tub, and the associated amenities — all without charge (bath salts, natural loofa-type wash cloths etc) were very much appreciated. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and offered a wide array of options. We would return to this hotel and recommend it highly."

"Our suite was outstanding. Very spacious and well appointed. We loved having our own outdoor space which is rare in a hotel. Great location and we could walk everywhere. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. Lots of variety for those with special dietary needs. The club lounge was a bit disappointing though. Most club lounges provide breakfast but this one didn’t so we had to purchase breakfast through the hotel which was about $40 per person. The club lounge didn’t open until 10:00 am and the food options were minimal during the day as well as in the evenings. Overall, a lovely property."

"Hotel Forza was a great stay! Kyoto was our second stop and we really enjoyed this stay. The room was small as in any Japan hotel, but the hotel was very posh. Room was clean, bed was comfy, loved that the TV had streaming services available. We didn't have the breakfast as it seemed pretty basic, so we ventured out for food instead. Amenities were nice and bathroom was clean. Overall a good experience. I didn't like that they didn't have a vending machine for bottled water purchases, although they did give guests two water bottles per day along with two free sake drinks daily. Tap water was drinkable, but I don't do well with tap water. Besides this, the staff was very helpful with the transfer of our luggage. They took the time to call our next hotel and confirm everything. By the time we arrived at our next hotel, our luggage was there. The hotel has an underground entrance to the train station which came in handy. Overall, it was a nice stay!"

"This property was walking distance to a bunch of markets such as Nishiki, Termachi, etc. There are lots to do around the area and very close to Kamo river with restaurants. I got sick when I got to Kyoto so the staff gave me English speaking medical clinics around the area. The property is nice and has laundry downstairs but there is a long wait time as everyone is trying to wash/dry their clothes. The breakfast is decent even though it is a bit pricey for Japan I would say. But there are variety of food. We also upgraded our room upon check in to have more space and they were able to accommodate pretty quickly."
