Pod-Inn Hotel

Pod-Inn Hotel

8/10 Good
"Overall a good experience. I was in a solo pod room rather than just a pod bed so I had more room which I think was needed. Spaces were clean and staff were lovely. As it’s a pod hotel, the sleeping area is all one big room and the ceiling between pods is open so despite the staff saying to do library conditions, it is still noisy so keep this in mind. I heard phone calls, music and unfortunately a very loud snorer in the pod next to mine and so it can be hard to get to sleep if you are a light sleeper. Bed was very comfortable actually but do note that the upper bunks are quite high up so not super easy to get in and out. For the price it was all pretty good but the location was a big plus as it’s very close to the waterfront and the shopping centre and transport. My only big complaint and disappointment was the laundry facilities. I stayed 9 nights and was told the cost of the laundry is $20 PER WASH, which a staff member said was reasonable! I’ve stayed in countless hostels throughout Canada and not once have had to pay this much. If you stay, there is a laundry place down the road with coin operated machines which is much more in line with the expected rate. Most people staying in a hostel are there because they are on a tight budget and $20 is way overpriced even for Downtown Toronto. Staff were lovely, place is clean, basic breakfast included like toast and cereal. It is a good option for a couple nights."
