"One elevator from ground floor to hotel lobby on the 5 th floor was disabled. It was not quickly fixed. Very slow and with groups of people too numerous to fit in the car. So, it took 2 or 3, trips to get upstairs to the lobby. This is more a reflection on the building owner rather than the hotel. Breakfast was well worth the cost. Good selection. Food presented well. Tons of selection."

"This is the perfect location for a solo traveler. Very conveniently located and definitely know us. For the first time traveler to Korea, it might not be the best location because there’s no one to ask questions. Very convenient luggage storage place. Cleaning stuff very kind!"

"We fully enjoyed our stay. The location was the key reason for picking the Stanford Hotel in Myeong Dong. Being so close to the main street with easy access to buses, subway, taxis, shops and places to eat - made our stay so easy. Easy walk to Lotte and Shinsege Department store, Namdaemun market, etc. Laundry facilities and excercise room was great. We stored some luggage on the main 9th floor as we are traveling to Busan and Toyko and will return back to the hotel at the end of our trip. The hotel is providing the lockers for free since we will be returning. So convenient! Breakfast buffet options were great and we really enjoyed the variety. Overall, great experience…and highly recommend for the price and convenient location!"

"2nd time staying at this property. Great location with short walk to subway stations for line 1 and 2, as well as airport bus 6015 and 6701. This hotel now has a locker setup for guests to store luggage on the 2nd floor."

"The hotel’s location is very convenient. It is within walking distance to the subway station and bus stops. There are also a couple of tourist attractions nearby. You don’t have to worry about food as there are several restaurants and convenience stores nearby that is if you wish to eat outside the hotel. The room was cleaned every day. The staff was nice and respectful. They spoke enough English so that we could understand. The breakfast buffet was good; although it did not change much from day to day. There were eggs, bread, bacon, waffles, fruit, yogurt, salads, coffee, juice, etc. There is a laundry room but with only 2 small washers and 1 small dryer. It is free though; they even provide the detergent. In summary, I would return to this hotel or maybe another Shilla Stay, 🙂"
