Open air onsen was fantastic. Hotel was right by the foot onsen trail. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Front desk staff spoke english well.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful despite my husband and I knowing very little Japanese. We rented a private bath which was lovely. The facilities do need some updating, but the location was great. It was a very easy walk to dining, Seven 11, and the hiking trails. We also had a delicious breakfast buffet with so many different options.

The hotel is old and pretty worn. However the stafff members were friendly and helpful. The hotel was very full the night of our stay. Our room was clean, but amenities were scarce - there were no Ocha cups nor drinking glasses in the room and had to be requested. The onsen was nice, and food was pretty good.

Amenities is great, staff is friendly and helpful. Clean and the room is spacious. The only downside was our room was close to some air conditioner motor kind of thing and it ran all night. It’s also a bit far from the Main Street. Other than that it was a good stay.

We loved our stay at this hotel and wished we had more than one night to spend in the area. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was well run, despite being enormous (taking up 3 separate buildings). My husband and I loved the onsens and sauna, and especially magical was sitting in the outdoor onsen with snow falling on us. The dinner and breakfast buffets were also outstanding, with plenty of vegetarian options for my husband. We hope to be able to return to this area in a different season in future, and when we do, we'll definitely try to stay here again.

The shuttle bus itself to airport is good and convenient , however, what I wanna point out is the bus driver. We had a lot of luggages and were struggling with the trolley on the slope to the bus, it was raining, we could hardly manage to get the trolley to the bus, out of my surprise, the bus driver was just standing beside the bus 5 meters away watching us and didn't show any interest in giving us a hand at all. He didn't help us with loading and unloading our luggages at all either, just standing beside us and watching us struggling with the luggages ourselves. This is not the kind of a Japanese hotel service we experienced and expected at all. Even the public bus driver would have been offering help with luggages. Front desk service was good, but the shuttle bus driver, I hope your hotel could do something with the shuttle bus service to improve customer experience.

Booked a Double Room for 2 pax but only 1 pillow was provided upon check in. Requested for a hairdryer upon booking time, but upon check in no hairdryer was provided in room. Request from reception ,was told no more stock. Ask us to go to Onsen room to use hairdryer there. We complain only they go find a haidryer. Daily buffer and dinner food choice are the same. Only good bus from Noboritbesu Station stops in front of the hotel and Onsen is great.

The location of the hotel is very near to the natural footbath. From there, can access the nature walk very easily. Bus stop is just outside the hotel; it’s very convenient to go there by bus. The hotel provides free shuttle to/from Sapporo once a day. You can go to their website to make online reservation. Room is basic but clean. The buffet dinner and lunch is acceptable. Staff at reception and restaurant are friendly and efficient.

Ok hotel with good onsen but they could not get me a taxi at 11am!! The bus to JR Station had gone and I had to walk to the main road outside to flag a cab back to the hotel!!

I've email the resort to confirm booking and asking the direction if we take bus. however, they never get back to us. staff not helping when we struggled in the snow storm. please get yourself a 50 min private onsen, its relax and chill. buffet dinner was good, variety of choices.

This property is nice and we stayed Japaneses Style room with children. Room and restroom are clean, but very small bathroom/toilet. Breakfast is reasonable and but the dinner is good number of choices. We didn't used the onsen due to very crowded. Carpark is just outside, the staff helped. Overall the stay was good.

Nice hotel with fairly reasonable price
This hotel is one of the most famous hotel for group tour, because of I think, it's fair rate. a lots of people in and out every day and night. Very reasonable price comparing with other hotels around. You can find a little nicer hotel near by, but not with this good rate. However, hotel is still in good condition. Nice Japanese style room, nice hot spring, and fairly good dinner and breakfast. I will definitely come back.

I arrived by shuttle bus from airport to the hotel at 6pm. We have to unload our bags from the bus and drag to the lobby by ourselves. No one came to help. Check in as normal and receptionist cannot speak English. We were staying in Sakura wing. Since we are staying there for 3 nights, I would like to upgrade my meal for one night to have at least one meal with Kaiseki food instead of buffet but they said the restaurants were fully booked without even checking or try to do something. Room was small and just enough for 4 pax without walking area at the side of the bed. The WIFI signal was weak and most of the time cannot surf. This is one of the major criteria when choosing hotel for me but it let me down. Buffet is the same food for the 3 nights except they gave additional dish for 2nd and 3rd night stay. Buffet consists of Chinese, Korean and Japanese food. Overall I would say the buffet was just ok. There are two hotspring bath which is not crowded and ok. The hotel is 10 minutes walk to main shopping area and close to hotspring foot bath trail which is quite a good walk for my family. Activity at night is to play Bingo but we did not play as it was 500 yen and we didn’t feel it is worth given the prize to be won. Overall stay is just ok without the Japanese service that I experienced in other ryokans.

We stayed at the Japanese style room for a night. The room was spacious with tatami mattresses. The room looked old but clean. The bathroom was miserably small, so small that I didn't even want to stay a second longer. But I suppose that's pretty common in Japan. Onsen pools were generally ok. Friendly staff. Breakfast and dinner were included in the package which we should have opted out if we had known. It's quite disappointing. Walking distance to the public foot bath. It's not exactly close to the "city centre" though. It's not a bad stay neither was it fantastic.

Great onsen location, wonderful kaiseki dinner
This hotel is part of an onsen area next to a set of hot-springs and fumaroles. It is set into the side of a steep valley so that there are views over the treetops from the onsen (unusually on the top floor). The rooms. The beds were western style and very comfortable. The onsen had inside areas, a shallow pool that bubbled air underneath, outside tubs and a cold water dunk pool. The view from outside was particularly nice. The high point here was the food - we had a kaiseki dinner and a breakfast in our rate. My advice would be to fast for a couple of days before arriving. The quality and quantity of the food was breathtaking. Seriously, I suspect that there was enough for two people in just one of the dinners. 16 courses, all of them amazing. And then breakfast the next morning was also a series of courses, not just the normal Japanese buffet. Best Japanese food we have ever had, but just too much...

Few things to note:- 1. Room was not equipped with air-conditioner and we were told to open the windows instead as it is "cooling weather". This may be a concern for those finicky with heat in the warmer months. 2. We booked the private onsen and it was good! We were even given kids' bath toys and toiletries as we had our 2 year old son with us. 3. Food selection was quite limited for the dinner and breakfast buffet included. 4. Hotel accommodates tour groups which may affect your experience in the communal onsen.

Wonderful spa and...
The room was not that large for four people but generally okay. It is located nearly on the edge of the town, but the town is so small that you do not feel any inconveniences. And right in front of the building, there’s a bus stop for Donan line, so it was good to get back from Date Jidaimura. It just took for about 10 minutes. There’s also a bear park near from it. If you travel with kids or seniors, it’s worth visiting there. The best part of this staying is the spa, of course. The quality of the water was really good, so my family went for enjoying hot spa twice a day. We stayed two nights. The staffs prepared our futon every night and tidied them up next morningh, but it didn’t seem that they actually cleaned the room. I felt awful when I found out some anther dust at the corner of my room. Except for that, it was nice staying. I’ve been here twice, and I recommend Kaiseki Dinner not the buffet. Buffet was not bad, but having Kaiseki Dinner can be an exceptional experience, I think. You shoud make a reservation for it at least a week before in advance, though. It’s worth it. For the spa, I will definitely visit here again.

Very beautiful traditional stay with nice onsen.
Onsen overlooks very peaceful forests, and is very relaxing and not too crowded. Dining halls are very grand and they have a good variety of Japanese food, including Gengkis Khan. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere in the halls, onsen and the room. However, we will appreciate it if clearer instructions were given to go to the main attractions (Jingokudani) as we walked a long detour to go there. There were no english materials or english speaking staff to assist us in that. Love how they conduct nightly games.

Nice Stay @ Noboritbetsu Sekisuitei
Great place to stay - we booked a Japanese style room to try something different. Amenties and meals at Hotel were pretty good and a nice easy walk to some of the other main attractions in the area. Onsen included In cost so that was great as well. Had a car but Hotel has free parking - to me it’s much better a 3 star so not sure why/how/when it was rated
