Definitely COME TO BALI! I did not feel unsafe at any point and drive all over the south side. POSITIVES: Excellent staff. Indonesian people are super nice and respectful. Beautiful resort and located in a nice area of Bali. All 3 pools are gorgeous and many different flavors of food to choose from. They always switched it up. Just know it is more Indian and Balinese food which has lots of spice and curry. NEGATIVES: The “All Inclusive” package is NOT truly all inclusive. I am used to all inclusive where u don’t have to think about where u eat or how much u get. They give u 3 restaurants to eat at but there are 5 or 6. The breakfast is the only buffet style. Otherwise u get 1 entree and one starter which is more than enough. Ice cream is not included. Mixed drinks are good but on the lighter side of alcohol. BE SURE TO READ THE FINE PRINT IF YOUR PACKAGE.

The staff are amazing, super attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. The buffet breakfast is awesome with heaps of variety, something for everyone. Highlight for us is the gym and the beach front pool. There is also a number of good restaurants nearby and a mini mart for convenience. I would highly recommend staying here, it is truly value for money.

Our girls’ trip at Sakala Resort was incredible. We stayed in a pool‑access room, which made the whole experience feel extra relaxing and luxurious. The resort is beautifully maintained and always clean, and every staff member we met was genuinely friendly and attentive. We loved having three pools to choose from, with swim up bars, a view of the beach and plenty of sun lounges. The food was consistently delicious, from breakfast to late‑night bites. Overall, the perfect mix of luxury and comfort, great service, and stunning scenery.

Good variety of meals for breakfast. The Indonesian breakfast was a bit same same. Western was a better choices. Good fresh juices were available. Staff were very slow. Rooms weren't getting made up till late afternoons. Simple things as bottle openers or even cutlery wasn't set in room. Have to order and it may come over an hour later. Spa is really good and friendly. Lots of road works in front of the hotel, very noisy and difficult to get around the works. Pool bar wasn't open very often. If have a swim out room, you look forward to go to pool bar . Could improve with more staff.

We return to this hotel time and time again and it looks the same as when we first stayed. All the staff are lovely and very attentive. They really make you feel at home and that nothing is too much trouble for them. The amenities are awesome over the years we've eaten at the pool bar, the beach club restaurant, we've had a romantic beachfront dinner experience and most recently their tapenyaki experience. All are amazing and if you can do them all... You should. Their breakfast buffet is the best I've ever experienced, you can choose to have western, Indonesian, Indian and continental food options. And there's even a chocolate fountain with fruit for the kids (you know I had that). One thing I wouldn't sleep on, the Nasi Jingo option if you do stay! The spa is lovely and relaxing. Yes you can go down the road and get a much more affordable spa option, but I promise you the experience you receive and the setting is totally different and non comparable. I reccomend booking an evening massage after your days activities or a full relaxation package for a lounge day. Until recently I've gatekeped this hotel but it's about time I supported it by leaving the review it deserves. Thank you Sakala team and I hope you still have space for us on our next return. You're all awesome. Terima kasih / matur suksma. Sampai jumpa lagi. This is officially an Amiee Boujie Buddha reccomendation!
